DIFFERENT WORLD, A: MAMMY DEAREST (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series that portrays life among the students at Hillman College. In this episode, Whitley has trouble dealing with her emotions when she breaks up with her boyfriend Dwayne. In the meantime, a friend discovers a bill of sale proving that one of Whitley's ancestors was a slave owner. Whitley is upset because she feels that she is no longer qualified to complete a cultural exhibit that she has been developing about African-American women. Also, her friend Kim has problems with an African-American stereotype that is part of the exhibit, due to its personal connotations for her. Commercials deleted.
