MYSTERY!: CAMPION, SERIES 1: LOOK TO THE LADY {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

Continued from T:26004. Part two of a two-part program in this mystery anthology series. This program features mystery novelist Margery Allingham's sarcastic blueblood detective, Albert Campion, who is assisted by his very own observant "Dr. Watson," Magersfontein Lugg. In part two of this episode, Campion leaves Val and the Gyrth chalice at his residence in London under the protection of the police department, after learning that the person after the family heirloom goes by the name of Daisy. Campion returns to the Gyrth tower where Lugg lies in bed recuperating from whatever he saw in the forest. Campion decides to capture the mysterious beast. In order to do so, he enlists the help of his friend Professor Cairey, a local trapper who is also neighbor of the Gyrths. After spending a long night in the forest, the threesome capture their prey, which turns out to be the local witch in a frightening costume. Soon after, Campion discovers Daisy's identity and, with the help of local gypsies, sets out to prevent the chalice from being stolen. At the end of his case, Campion is rewarded by being allowed to learn the secrets of the concealed room in the Gyrth tower.

Cataloging of this program was made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, 1996.
