GROWING PAINS: THE LAST PICTURE SHOW {SERIES FINALE} (TV)
Summary
The finale in this comedy series about the adventures of the Seaver family of Long Island, headed by psychiatrist dad Jason and reporter mom Maggie. In this episode, Maggie has been offered a great job in Washington D.C., and after some discussion, she and Jason decide to move the family to the nation's capital, but the kids are less than enthusiastic. When Maggie and Jason hold a family "summit" to discuss the move and Maggie's new position, the kids become very upset. Ben announces that he will not join them if they move, and Mike, responding to the prospect of fending for himself, suddenly proposes marriage to his girlfriend. Maggie begins to feel guilty about dividing and uprooting the family, and everyone reminisces about their life together in the house that they will soon be leaving. The program features "flashbacks" to scenes from earlier episodes in the series. Includes commercials, promos, a public service announcement, and an ABC News Brief with Jack Smith. This program is closed-captioned.
Cataloging of this program was made possible by Broadcast Music, Inc., in honor of Steve Dorff.
