MYSTERY!: CAMPION, SERIES 1: THE CASE OF THE LATE PIG {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

Continued from T:26011. Part two of a two-part program in this mystery anthology series. This program features mystery novelist Margery Allingham's sarcastic blueblood detective, Albert Campion, who is assisted by his very own observant "Dr. Watson," Magersfontein Lugg. In part two of "The Case of the Late Pig," the sinister old man, Hayhoe, introduces himself to Campion as the uncle of the recently departed, and states that he has many nephews. Hayhoe seems to have some information about the death of his nephew and wishes to sell it to Campion for a high price. Campion does not accept his offer, but decides that he will meet with Hayhoe again the following morning. Unfortunately, before he can do so, the informant is murdered. Campion suspects that the old man attempted to blackmail the murderer with his information. Slowly, but surely, Campion figures out who wrote the letters and who murdered Hayhoe and his nephew. Unfortunately, he has no evidence to back up his case, so Campion decides that the best way to prove that his theory is correct is to put his own life on the line. However, he accidently puts Lugg's life on the line as well, which not only makes Campion nervous, but makes Lugg extremely irate.
