KOJAK: MY BROTHER, MY ENEMY (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas about the cases of Lt. Theo Kojak and the detectives of the Manhattan South Precinct. In this episode, a young boy is shot when an overzealous police officer rushes onto the scene of a violent stabbing as the attacker is escaping the building. The officer later insists that the suspect was firing at him and the boy was caught in the crossfire. With no witnesses to the shooting, Kojak remains determined to support his officer, investigating both the crime and the accidental shooting in order to silence the heavy publicity about the case and to vindicate his officer. However, as evidence is gathered, Kojak begins to wonder whether his officer is telling the truth, or whether he has an unsafe, trigger-happy policeman on his force. Commercials deleted.
(This series also aired on ABC from 1989 to 1990 as a recurring segment on "The ABC Saturday Mystery Movie.")
