ROC: NIGHTMARE ON EMERSON STREET (TV)
Summary
One in this series of situation comedies about a working-class garbage man, Roc Emerson, who is struggling with his wife, father, and brother to achieve the American dream. In this episode, drug dealers move across the street from the Emersons, and Roc is determined to get them out of the neighborhood. The Emersons hold a neighborhood meeting, and Roc tries to enlist everyone's help to fight the drug dealers through peaceful demonstrations. At the meeting, a man named Ronnie (special appearance by Tone Loc) suggests another solution: fighting violence with violence. Later, the drug dealers decide to meet with their new, trouble-making neighbors. Commercials deleted.
("Roc" was telecast live during its second season, from 1992 to 1993, making it the first sitcom to be telecast live on a regular basis since 1959. This episode from the first season was not telecast live.)
