M*A*S*H {MASH}: DREAMS (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the men and women of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H) stationed behind the lines during the Korean War. In this episode, exhausted members of the 4077th take turns sleeping as incoming soldiers are delivered to the unit relentlessly for two days; snatching brief naps, the staff surrenders to an onslaught of dreams. Although many of the dreams begin with pleasant visions -- Col. Potter riding his horse, Klinger visiting his favorite Toledo restaurant -- all of them become twisted by the frustrations and pressures of serving in a medical unit in Korea. When Margaret finds herself in a wedding dress covered with blood, she awakens and realizes, as do the others, that sleep cannot spare them from the horrors of war. Commercials deleted.
