M*A*S*H {MASH}: THE YALU BRICK ROAD (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedy programs about the men and women of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H), stationed behind the lines during the Korean War. In this episode, Hawkeye and B.J. find themselves lost while trying to get needed antibiotics back to the 4077th. The two doctors are forced to wander on foot when B.J., attempting to avoid having an accident, overturns their jeep. They meet up with a North Korean soldier who decides to surrender to them even though he is the one with a gun. Pierce and Hunnicutt name him "Ralph" and, though they are puzzled by his actions, they continue along with their new friend at their side. Then, at the sight of an oncoming squad of North Koreans, Ralph decides to take Pierce and Hunnicutt prisoner. Meanwhile, back at the 4077th, Houlihan, Winchester, and Father Mulcahy find themselves caring for the rest of the members of the M.A.S.H. unit who have been stricken with salmonella poisoning after eating a Thanksgiving turkey that was provided by Klinger. Luckily for them, Houlihan, Winchester, and Father Mulcahy had missed out on the Thanksgiving festivities. Commercials deleted.

Cataloging of this program was made possible by Alan Alda.
