M*A*S*H {MASH}: GIVE 'EM HELL, HAWKEYE (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedy programs about the men and women of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H) stationed behind the lines during the Korean War. In this episode, Hawkeye becomes frustrated when he realizes that the peace talks have been in session for a full year and there is no end in sight to the war. He decides to write a letter to President Truman reflecting on the conditions of the 4077th and the general standard of life in Korea. While writing the letter, the following events occur at the M.A.S.H. unit: Hawkeye and Winchester contend with a psychotic Turkish commanding officer who attempts to shoot one of his soldiers after deducing that the young man shot himself in the foot to avoid fighting; Winchester finds himself inoculating Korean prostitutes in order to reduce the rate of V.D. among the members of the 4077th; and a colonel, Ditka, offers the camp a new water heater if its members manage to beautify the compound.
