BATIBOT {TAGALOG WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES} (TV)
Summary
One in this fast paced Filipino children's television
series featuring puppets and a cast of adults and
children. The title, meaning "small, but strong and
robust" in Tagalog, is the shaping force behind the
program. In this episode, adult cast member Ching, some
children, and the monkey puppet Kiko all decide on a
poem about the concepts" happy" and "sad" to recite at
the close of the show. The group has to work together
to write the poem and assemble costumes. In other
segments, an animated carriage wheel looks for its
home; a young girl assists her mother, who is a doctor;
the adults and children sing a song as they look for
Kiko, who hides; a circle looks for its mate among a
face, a tree, and a triangle; a video demonstrates the
multiple uses of bamboo; painted fingers and hands
perform in "Teatro Bulilit"; and Bodjie tells turtle
puppet Pong a story, which is illustrated with
claymation figures.
