MYSTERY!: INSPECTOR MORSE, SERIES 3: SETTLING OF THE SUN, PT. 2 OF 2 (TV)
Summary
Continued from T:29976. One in this mystery anthology series. Host Diana Rigg introduces this program, centered around the life of an ale-drinking British police inspector named Morse, who cannot stand the sight of blood. In part two of this two-part mystery, Inspector Morse discovers that his murder case is slightly more complex than he first suspected. First, he learns that the students' guide, Graham Daniels, has been murdered. Then, he discovers that Yukio, the murdered Japanese student, could not have been the same Japanese student present at the welcoming dinner since the deceased had been tied up for twenty-four hours before his death. Later, Morse's suspicions that Friedman is not really from Germany are confirmed by a Swedish student named Heidi. To make matters worse, Morse's nemesis, Chief Superintendent Dewar, informs Morse that he is being taken off the case since Yukio is a known international drug dealer who was being watched by an undercover agent of the British government. Morse realizes that he must have been set up by Jane Robson to be a witness at the dinner and decides that he must get to the bottom of the case regardless of Dewar's request. With the help of Detective Sergeant Lewis, Morse sets out to solve this mystery. Unfortunately, two more murders occur before he accomplishes his task.
