RUGRATS: DOWN THE DRAIN; LET THEM EAT CAKE (TV)
Summary
One in this series of animated children's programs about one-year-old Tommy Pickles and his group of baby pals, who frequently embark on mischievous adventures right under the noses of their oblivious parents. This episode features two segments, "Down the Drain" and "Let Them Eat Cake." In "Down the Drain," after pulling the plug on his bath and watching his toy soldier go down the drain, Tommy is convinced that he too may be sucked into oblivion. Tommy and Angelica stay at Chuckie's house while the following events occur: Chuckie attempts to convince Tommy that he cannot get sucked down the drain, but is interrupted by Angelica, who not only confirms Tommy's fears but creates new ones for Chuckie; Chuckie and Tommy devise a couple of ways to plug up the drain of Chuckie's bath tub, which results in numerous visits from the plumber; Angelica loses her cool when her favorite doll gets sucked down the toilet; and Tommy decides that in order to conquer one's fears, one must face them. In "Let Them Eat Cake," Tommy and Chuckie become excited when they are invited to attend Tommy's uncle's wedding, since they know there will be a humongous cake there for them to eat. Unfortunately, it seems as though they will never get to their prize when the bride does not show up for the ceremony. Therefore, Chuckie and Tommy decide to search the catering hall for the cake and wind up visiting many different weddings in the process. Meanwhile, Angelica enjoys being the flower girl at the wedding. Commercials deleted.
