Summary
One in this animated series of children's programs about the adventures of Doug Funnie -- a good-hearted eleven-year-old boy with a hyperactive imagination -- and his friends and neighbors. This episode features two segments, "Doug's Hot Ticket" and "Doug's Dental Disaster." In "Doug's Hot Ticket," Doug and his best friend Skeeter hope to attend the upcoming Beets concert in Bloatsburg, but find that every time things seem to be on the right track something happens to steer them off course from their goal. First, Doug and Skeeter discover that the concert has been sold out. Next, after acquiring tickets, the twosome realize that they must find a way to get to the concert which is sixty miles out of town. Then, after traveling half way to the concert, Doug and Skeeter are accidently left behind at a diner by their ride. Lastly, when the two youngsters finally reach their destination, they discover that they left the tickets behind at the diner. In "Doug's Dental Disaster," Doug discovers, after an enormous amount of pain, that he has a cavity, but is afraid to go to the dentist. However, when Mr. Dink displays what happened to his teeth because he neglected to take care of them, Doug decides to be brave, or as brave as a grammar school student can be when facing a member of the dental association. All the while, Doug imagines himself as his favorite spy, Smash Adams, as he confronts the many phases of his dental ordeal. Commercials deleted.
