Summary
Part two of two. One in this British drama series starring Robbie Coltrane as Dr. Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald, a brilliant forensic psychologist on retainer with the Manchester Police who drinks and gambles to excess and has a troubled family life. In this episode, Fitz and the CID investigate the murder of a teenager. In part two, Fitz and the CID focus their investifation into the murder of schoolboy Tim on his teacher, Cassidy, who they suspect is in denial of his own sexuality and has lied about his relationship with the adolescent boy. As the case against Cassidy solidifies, Fitz worries that the mob-like atmosphere in the town, the boy's family's latent guilt, pervasive homophobia, distractions caused by Billborough's wife's imminent labor, Fitz and Penhaligan's flirtation, the witnesses' desire to hide their adulterous affair, and Cassidy's anger towards the investigators may lead to the conviction of a possibly innocent man of murder.
