MIAMI VICE: BY HOOKER BY CROOK (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas concerning Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives for the Miami vice squad. In this episode, Detectives Crockett and Tubbs investigate the murder of financial wizard Richard Sakaris. They discover that the model he was with when he was murdered is also a prostitute, and link her to an agency called Caprice Escorts. In the meantine, Crockett has started dating a secretive businesswoman named Christine, whom he met at a yacht party while hunting for Sakaris' killer. When the prostitute turns up dead, police investigations reveal that Christine runs Caprice Escorts. Through her phone records, Sonny links Christine to the murdered Sakaris and to money-launderer Kenneth Tagaru (George Takei). Christine is arrested and confesses that she supplied Sakaris with a date on the night of his death and informed Tagaru of his whereabouts so that he could have him killed. Cornered, Christine agrees to wear a wire and arrange a trap for Tagaru. Unfortunately, the wily money-launderer comes prepared for Christine's betrayal. Commercials deleted.
