STEVE MARTIN: A WILD AND CRAZY GUY (TV)

Summary

This comedy special features comedian Steve Martin in a variety of roles and integrates stand-up routines with brief sketches and short films. Highlights include: a nervous Martin being calmed down by Milton Berle and Bob Hope; the type of car Martin bought when he moved to Los Angeles; a rodeo legend who wears his girl's dress for luck before he attempts to ride the wildest bronco around; Martin as a judge in Tennis Court where the person accused faces the death penalty because he has an errant backhand; a valet parking attendant who performs ballet on the job; a ski instructor who cannot do anything right except fall down a lot; the leader of a camping trip who cooks a watermelon and sings songs around the campfire; Martin playing himself as the host of a television variety show which features singer/songwriter Johnny Cash; and Martin's signature King Tut routine, which he introduced on "Saturday Night Live." Commercials deleted.
