Summary
This special concert was created to promote AIDS awareness and raise money for the Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Highlights of this program include the following segments: in a music video, Paula Abdul dances with children while singing "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah"; Jason Priestley explains the purpose of the Pediatric AIDS Foundation; Kris Kros offers rap versions of a series of nursery rhymes; Celine Dion performs "Beauty and the Beast"; the Olsen twins welcome Baby Sinclair; Woody Harrelson performs a musical version of "I Told the Sun I Was Glad"; the founders of the Pediatric AIDS Foundation greet the audience; Mayim Bialik introduces Shanice who performs "Mockingbird"; Kadeem Hardison introduces Michael Bolton who performs "You Are My Sunshine"; Mat Plendl performs a dance with a hula hoop; Ted Danson tells the story of "The Little Engine That Could"; a chorus of child dancers performs a jazz routine; Neil Patrick Harris talks about AIDS and then introduces Melissa Etheridge, who sings "The Green Grass Grew All Around"; Salt 'N' Pepa performs "This Old Man Came Rolling Home"; Randy Newman sings "I've Been Working on the Railroad"; Sheila E. performs "Mary Had a Little Lamb"; Craig 'N' Co. sings a song about getting a haircut; Bobby McFerrin performs a unique version of "The Wizard of Oz"; Gerardo sings "Skip to My Lou"; Peter Alsop and his daughter Willow perform "I Am a Pizza"; The Party sings a series of nursery rhymes; and Patti LaBelle performs "What a Wonderful World."
