PICKET FENCES: NUCLEAR MELTDOWNS (TV)
Summary
One in this series of off-beat dramas that often focuses on social issues as it chronicles the lives of Rome, Wisconsin, residents, including town Sheriff Jimmy Brock; his wife Dr. Jill Brock; their three children, Kimberly, Matthew, and Zachary; and his two deputies, Kenny Lacos and Maxine Stewart. In this episode, Kimberly is shocked to learn that her best friend, Jody, who she thought was a virgin, is pregnant. When Kimberly sees Jody passionately kissing her own father, Michael, she realizes who the father of the child really is. Kimberly tries to explain to Jody that her relationship with Michael is wrong, but Jody insists that everything is all right and makes Kimberly promise not to tell anyone what she knows. Nonetheless, Kimberly confides in her mother, Jill, who is also Jody's doctor. Although Jill has promised to keep the conversation between them confidential, she finds that she must tell her husband Jimmy, who eventually arrests Jody's father for having an incestuous relationship with a minor. Jimmy asks Kimberly to testify against Michael in court, and at first she refuses but then realizes she must help her friend. In court, however, much more is revealed than just Kimberly's knowledge of the relationship. Meanwhile, Max discovers that a local religious group is sacrificing animals, and Kenny begins a relationship with a woman who believes that psychic powers brought her to Rome. Commercials deleted.
