Summary

Hosted by Karen Duffy, the show's highlights include the following clips, among others: Richard Dean Anderson and Nicole Kidman singing in rock 'n' roll bands; Albert Brooks as a very bad ventriloquist on "The Flip Wilson Show"; Pee-wee Herman, then known as Paul Reubens, on "The Gong Show"; John Travolta soaping himself up in a Safeguard commercial; Chevy Chase in his first feature film, "The Groove Tube"; Leonard Nimoy, Martin Sheen, and David Hasselhoff in science fiction roles which put them on the path to stardom; Burt Reynolds displaying his exercise techniques on the beach during the filming of "Lock Up"; an interview with Mel Gibson about why he enjoys surfing so much; Sally Field and Daniel J. Nelson as a boxer on "The Lohman & Barkley Show"; Gregory Hines, Steve Martin, George Foreman, and Phil Hartman as featured bachelors on the classic game show, "The Dating Game"; Lily Tomlin, Dana Delany, Linda Gray, and Debra Winger in detergent commercials; Rob Lowe winning the grand prize on "The $20,000 Pyramid" in 1977; Charles Bronson, Robert Redford, Don Johnson, Walter Matthau, and Tom Selleck as tough-talking, quick-shooting cowboys; country singer Vince Gill as the frontman for the Pure Prairie League; early performances by stand-up comedians Garry Shandling, David Letterman, Ellen DeGeneres, Jerry Seinfeld, and Richard Pryor; Dom DeLuise playing a doctor on "The Munsters" in 1966; Bill Fagerbakke and Corbin Bernsen in college productions; and the first television appearances by George Clooney, Michael Richards, and Heather Locklear.
