VH1 STAND UP SPOTLIGHT (TV)
Summary
One in this series hosted by Rosie O'Donnell that spotlights three stand-up comedians. On this show, the featured entertainers are Carol Siskind, Poppy-Ann Champlin, and Bruce Smirnoff. Siskind starts off the show with her stand-up routine about spending long days shopping, the thought of buying a gun, guys living less stressful lives than women, why men are easier to be friends with -- because they bond so much better, the romantic interest in her life and why she knows that it is love. Next up is Champlin who begins by explaining the origin of her unusual name. She then talks about sleeping at a friend's house and always getting the couch, how everything is expensive these days no matter what it is, all the items that belong in a purse, the difficulties associated with dating, and why -- as a result of vast technological growth -- having children is not what it used to be. The last comedian is Smirnoff who compares living in Hollywood to living anywhere else; he then comments on why he doesn't want kids, dating gorgeous women, watching his diet as he gets older, and his sister's unlucky streak with marriage.
