PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE: PLAYHOUSE FOR SALE {SERIES FINALE} (TV)

Summary

One in this series of children's programs starring madcap host Pee-wee Herman, featuring animation, puppets, and vintage cartoons. Highlights of this program include the following: vintage footage profiling the different ways to jump rope; the secret word of the day; and Miss Yvonne's grand entrance into the playhouse, which all the puppets enjoy. Miss Yvonne asks everybody where Pee-wee is, but only Conky the Robot knows, and he fails to tell Miss Yvonne. The flowers, however, notice a strange sign on the front lawn that says "For Sale." Everyone is distressed that Pee-wee is selling the playhouse, and they reminisce about all the good times they have had together. In a series of flashbacks, they recall the following highlights from the series: an invisible breakfast with Reba, the discovery of Floory beneath a rug, a charity drive, a fire in the playhouse, the disappearance of Pterri, and a slumber party, where Pee-wee, proclaiming his love for fruit salad, marries a bowl of the stuff. Also featured is a montage of clips from the series, superimposed over an image of a woman in sparkle makeup singing "Memories." When Pee-wee arrives back home, Miss Yvonne and all the puppets confront Pee-wee about his intentions. Commercials deleted.
