GRACE UNDER FIRE: GREAT EGGSPECTATIONS (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Grace Kelly, a Southern woman in her thirties struggling to support her three children by herself after her divorce from an alcoholic, abusive husband. In this episode, Wade and Nadine ask Grace to be an egg donor because Nadine is unable to have children. Grace is nervous about helping Nadine, but feels that, as her best friend, she has a responsibility to do so. Her nervousness is evident at work, and Vic, Dougie, and John try to provide moral support, but John is the only one who makes sense to Grace with his words of wisdom. She decides to back out of the donor role, but worries about telling Nadine, who has high hopes. Russell suggests that Grace tell Nadine the truth. Reluctantly, Grace expresses her feelings to Nadine, who breaks down, feeling certain that she will never have children. Grace thinks that her friend is angry at her, but Nadine is really angry with herself. Since Wade is unaware of these developments, Nadine convinces Grace to help her break the news that they cannot have a baby. Wade confesses that he had never really wanted to have a baby, much to Nadine's surprise. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
