GENERAL HOSPITAL {LUKE AND LAURA'S WEDDING} (TV)

Summary

One in this series of daytime serial dramas centering on the professional and private lives of the doctors and nurses at General Hospital. In this episode, Luke and Laura exchange their wedding vows at the altar. As the ceremony concludes, Helena Cassadine, who is lurking in the background, puts a curse on the newly married couple. The reception is jammed with family and friends, and Luke and Laura can hardly describe their excitement. Word spreads that Helena Cassadine is there, but nobody can figure out why, since she wasn't invited. Luke and Laura proceed to get ready for their honeymoon and to toss the garter belt and bouquet to the anxious guests. As Laura throws the wedding bouquet, her ex-husband Scotty snatches it from the guests' outstretched hands. Luke then takes it upon himself to show Scotty that Laura is now his wife and fights with him. The newlyweds then leave on their honeymoon, agreeing to put everything in the past and to start a new life together. Commercials deleted.
