ANDY WARHOL'S TV: SOCIAL SEASONS {INTERVIEW'S
PARTY FOR FRAN LEBOWITZ AT STUDIO 54} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of talk/interview programs, loosely
adapted from Andy Warhol's Interview magazine. This
program opens with segments from a fashion show
featuring the designs of Claude Montana, who uses
historic elements and voluminous fabrics to create a
specific look in women's clothing. After an on-screen
look at various covers of Interview magazine, Warhol
hosts a party for writer Fran Lebowitz at famous disco
Studio 54 to celebrate the success of her new book,
"Social Studies." After Lebowitz chats briefly with
Lisa Robinson and Warhol, Robinson elicits short
comments on the event from the following individuals:
Fran's sister Ellen and mother Ruth, Lester Persky, club
owner Jim Fouratt, Amanda Lear, actress Patty
D'Arbanville, director John Waters, Lynn Geller,
designer Paloma Picasso, Raphael Lopez Sanchez, Andre
Leon Tally, actor Kevin Spacey, columnist Liz Smith, Bob
Colacello, Chris Makos, writer Jim Carroll, Ashford and
Simpson, and Andy Hernandez.
