MILLENNIUM: FORCE MAJEURE (TV)
Summary
One in this drama series about the cases of Frank Black, a former FBI agent with a special gift for seeing into the minds of serial killers. Black, who recently resettled with his family in Seattle, now works for the Millennium Group, an underground law enforcement organization comprised of experts in various fields who battle the burgeoning forces of evil in the world as the year 2000 approaches. In this episode, Frank is called upon to investigate the bizarre death of a brilliant young graduate student who set herself on fire during a freak hail storm. At the campus where the suicide occurred, Frank is approached by a strange man named Dennis Hoffman, who claims that the young woman's death is related to an impending planetary alignment which, according to prophesy, will cause a cataclysm of worldwide proportions. Though Frank is informed by a Millennium associate that Hoffman is known to be a bit disturbed, Hoffman's intimate knowledge of the case is impossible for Frank to dismiss. When another model student commits suicide, an autopsy reveals a shocking connection between the two young women. Slowly, Frank begins to uncover an amazing secret operation to remake the world after the apocalypse, and he must grapple with a difficult question: Is the person pulling the strings an egomaniacal monster -- or a modern day Noah, doing God's work? Commercials deleted.
