Summary
This program, a rebroadcast of an original episode, was taped off the air with a camera on a tripod by Andy Warhol for his private research and entertainment. This program is part of the Warhol Foundation's donation to the Museum of the artist's complete television collection. It was taped from WPIX-TV. One in this comedy series about the Anderson family -- Jim and Margaret and their children Betty, Bud, and Kathy. In this episode George, the boyfriend of Betty's best friend Diane, develops a crush on Betty. He invents reasons to visit her alone at home and finally asks her out on a date. Betty tries to discourage his feelings by telling him that she cannot allow herself to date a friend's boyfriend, but George misinterprets her meaning and breaks off his relationship with Diane. Unaware of his feelings for her friend, Diane decides that in order to keep George from getting involved with another girl, she should ask Betty to date him until she, Diane, can figure out how to get him back. Thanks to Betty's good sense the Diane and George mend their differences and get back together again. This program contains minor technical problems. This represents the best copy of this program currently available to the Museum. Includes commercials.
