KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER: THE ZOMBIE (TV)
Summary
One in this drama series, based on the popular "Night Stalker" television movies, in which down-on-his-luck reporter Carl Kolschack investigates crimes concerning the supernatural. In this episode, Kolchak is handed an exclusive lead on a numbers-running bust going down in the South Side of Chicago. Kolchak grabs the story, but the mysterious way in which the police deal with the corpses of the criminals slain in the bust leads the reporter to one of his trusted paid informants, city morgue attendant Gordie the Ghoul. Kolchak's further reporting turns up a connection between the numbers-running gangsters and a local Mafia group called the Syndicate. From there, Kolchak discovers an even weirder connection: both of the aforementioned groups are linked to a network of Haitian voodoo priests. Soon, everyone is after Kolchak for snooping around, even a twice-dead corpse, back on his feet and ready for vengeance. Commercials deleted.
