Summary
Episode one of four. One in this mystery-adventure series about a group of urban preteens who, with the assistance of an invisible spirit they name "Ghostwriter," solve cases by using their reading and writing skills. Ghostwriter can only communicate through writing, and just a few children are able see his words. In this episode, Ghostwriter is missing, and his team has a meeting to figure out how to find him. The members decide he must be on a case somewhere else, and they write him messages, offering to help him with clues that he cannot see or hear. Meanwhile, Ghostwriter is at the house of Dr. Canellan, whose deceased wife's tea service is missing. The housekeeper, Mrs. O'Boyle, accuses the orphan Frank of stealing it, but Dr. Canellan's daughter Catherine believes he is innocent. Nonetheless, Dr. Canellan thinks Frank is a thief and threatens to send him away. Ghostwriter makes his presence known to Frank and Catherine and promises to enlist the help of his team to clear Frank's name. Through a series of written clues, Ghostwriter convinces Jamal that the team is working out of the same house where the Canellans lived in 1928. Continues with T:50161.
