
HOLD THE DREAM {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
Part one of two in this dramatic miniseries. This drama, written by Barbara Taylor Bradford, is a sequel to "A Woman of Substance." In part two, Shane and Paula consummate their relationship. The next day, Paula tells Shane that she will file for divorce and then marry him. However, upon Paula's return, Jim injures himself in a car accident. After spending weeks helping Jim get back on his feet, Paula tells him that she wants a divorce. Jim, who is obsessed with avenging his family's name, refuses to grant her wish. Jim believes that Emma Harte swindled his relatives out of the newspaper company that they had once owned, and he intends reacquire it. Meanwhile, Paula discovers that Jonathan is embroiled in unethical activities with Sebastian Cross. When John Cross comes to see Paula, her suspicions are confirmed. Apparantly, John's son, Sebastian, and Paula's cousin, Jonathan, have set up a corporation known as Stonewall, which they are using to pad their own bank accounts while depleting their families of money. Paula and her father decide to set a trap to catch Jonathan red-handed. In addition, Emma dies as she tells Paula to hold onto her own dreams, and Paula's father arranges a deal with Jim in order to insure his daughter's future happiness. Commercials deleted.
