LARRY SANDERS SHOW, THE: THE ROAST (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series starring Garry Shandling as Larry Sanders, a late-night talk show host. In this episode, Norman and Artie prepare a roast for Larry, keying in on some big celebrity roasters. Meanwhile, Hank begs Artie for the job of "roastmaster," but Artie tells him that Carl Reiner already has the job because Hank can't handle heckling. Determined to win the job away from Reiner, Hank goes to Phil to get some tips on dealing with hecklers. At the roast, comedians such as Dana Carvey, Bill Maher, Al Franken, Jon Stewart, and surprise guest Carrot Top, poke fun at Larry and his career. Larry is secretly and genuinely hurt by the comments. As for Hank, while hopped up on just "a little bit" of medication, he gets surly towards other members of the dais. This program is closed-captioned.
