Summary
One in this series of spontaneous comedy talk shows hosted by Bill Maher. Maher presides over a no-holds-barred forum whose members come from the worlds of politics, journalism, and entertainment in order to discuss current events -- no matter how controversial. In this program, Maher presents a monologue about current events in which he comments on the following topics, among others: Bill Clinton's testimony in the Paula Jones case; the Monica Lewinsky allegations; Billy Graham; NBA player Latrelle Spreewell; and Jodie Foster's pregnancy. Maher goes on to talk with comedian Dennis Miller, Monty Python founder Eric Idle, CNN news anchor Jeff Greenfield, and syndicated columnist Arianna Huffington. The guests discuss a variety of following topics, including Clinton's deposition for the Paula Jones case; the Monica Lewinsky scandal; oral sex; Spreewell, who choked his boss yet had his $17.3 million basketball contract reinstated; and campaign-finance reform.
