Summary
One in this series of romantic dramas about Trevor Hale, a man claiming to be the mythological Cupid, who must fix up one hundred couples on Earth before he can return home to Mount Olympus. In this episode, Valentine's Day is approaching and Trevor is adamantly against this pseudo-holiday, which he believes ought to be named Cupid's Day. Claire meets Luther in the card store and he agrees to join her singles group to find answers to his dating life. Luther is attracted to a woman in the store, who reprimands a clerk for rudeness. Meanwhile, Claire is counseling an immature twelve-year-old boy; the boy and his sister seek Trevor's help in setting up their mother, Stephanie, on a date for the Cupid's Day Mixer. When Trevor displays a photo of Stephanie at the singles group session, Luther is shocked to recognize her as the woman from the card store. As Claire talks with Stephanie about her son's problem and her hostility toward men, Trevor tries to find Stephanie the perfect man -- and selects Luther. But when Luther meets her, the reception is anything but warm. Undeterred, Luther tries some maneuvers of his own and persuades Stephanie to go on a date. And Claire receives her Valentine's Day present from her lover and feels ready to join Trevor's party. At the Cupid's Day Mixer, Trevor learns that Stephanie and Luther had a problematic date, leading him to team up with Claire to make this match work. Includes commercials and promos.
