ANGRY BEAVERS, THE: BUMMER OF LOVE / FOOD OF THE CLODS {FIRST SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this animated series about the adventures of two beaver brothers, Norbert and Daggett. In the first segment, "Bummer of Love," the brothers wake up one morning to find a huge stage being built over their home for the "Awesome Beaver Pond Festival," reminiscent of Woodstock. A security guard throws the beavers out of the pond since they lack concert tickets, and as Daggett fumes outside the gates, Norbert meets a pretty hippie beaver named Treeflower. Instantly enamored, Norbert sneaks into the concert with Treeflower's entourage and enjoys a musical adventure, while Daggett tries to outwit the security guard. Ultimately, the brothers share a moment of glory at the festival, which ends all too soon. In the second segment, "Food of the Clods," Norbert develops a habit of staying up late, watching low-budget horror films, and eating spicy snacks. Drifting off to sleep in front of the television, Norbert is plagued by indigestion and violent images. He begins sleepwalking and acting out his monster-filled nightmares, terrorizing Daggett. Finally, Daggett decides to give him a dose of his own medicine, and both brothers are affected by the snacks and late-night television: while Norbert acts out a horror film, Daggett is influenced by a mambo commercial. Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
