FACTS OF LIFE, THE: ... AND INTO THE FRYING PAN (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about four female students learning about the facts of life from a surrogate mother.
In part two of this three-part episode, Edna and the girls become partners in a novelty shop after the destruction of "Edna's Edibles" in a fire. Several contractors make offers the group cannot afford, but their charming, handsome neighbor, George Burnett, is a contractor who makes a reasonable offer. Although Jo is hesitant, they agree to hire him.
As construction on the new shop progresses, George abandons his tasks to attend a baseball game with Blair, Tootie, and Natalie. As a result, Jo and Edna are miffed by his lack of professionalism. Ultimately, Edna fires George for taking too long. Although a pricier contractor completes the novelty shop on time, Jo and Edna feel guilty about their attitude toward the handyman. Commercials deleted.
