IT'S LIKE, YOU KNOW . . . : TWINS {SECOND SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about five thirtysomething friends living in Los Angeles. In this episode, Shrug is visited at his detective agency by a man wanting to find out why raisin juice doesn't exist, causing Shrug to throw him out. Back at Robbie's house, Arthur is disgusted at yet another stupid network television show, "Good Cop, Bad Cop" about police officers that are Siamese twins. Later that day, Lauren has to serve the show's executive producer with divorce papers and Shrug asks to tag along. Meanwhile, Jennifer goes through the typical rigmarole at the Department of Motor Vehicles to get her license renewed. Due to a computer glitch, she's allowed to give her date of birth, and she makes herself out to be twenty-six. On the "Good Cop, Bad Cop" set, Siamese twin actor Jason, who plays "good cop," asks Lauren on a date. While looking for a new house, Robbie runs into ex-girlfriend Danna, who is selling the home due to her pending divorce. Elsewhere, Jennifer begins acting more youthful, befitting the age on her license. She even gets an audition for Aaron Spelling's new show.
When running a stop sign on the way home, Jennifer is stopped by a policeman who questions the age on her license. He's convinced that she can't be the star of "Dirty Dancing" since a twenty-six-year-old couldn't have acted in the 1987 film. On her date with Jason, "bad cop" Justin is rude toward his brother and Lauren. Meanwhile, the policeman that stopped Jennifer sees Shrug at the detective agency, claiming there's a girl going around town impersonating the actress. Shrug begins to wonder if the Jennifer Grey they know is the real one. Later, Arthur and Lauren go out with the Siamese twins for dinner, at which point Lauren decides to break up with Jason. At the restaurant, Robbie and Danna run into the foursome, at which point Justin comes on to Danna. Shrug goes back to the DMV to further investigate Jennifer's age, eventually "breaking" the case open. Trying to find Robbie, Shrug returns to Danna's house and discovers Danna making out with Justin. When a surprised Justin jumps up, it becomes obvious that he and Jason aren't Siamese twins. Later, Arthur takes satisfaction in reading about the twins being fired from "Good Cop, Bad Cop." Finally, Shrug assists Joel Grey as he goes looking for his "real" daughter. Includes commercials.
