Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Mary tries to negotiate with a very nervous Davey, who tells of his horrible childhood and hatred of his father; Detective Johnson, Sergeant Foley, and the rest of the family arrive at the hideout, where Charlie and Loretta reveal that they are expecting a baby; Steve makes a run to Jack in the Box; Loretta confronts Tom about his infidelity; Clete Mizenheimer and the Channel Six News Team arrive and turn the hostage situation into a media event; Tom, impatient, rushes in to rescue Mary but leaves when she convinces him that she can handle the situation better on her own. Commercials deleted.
