Summary
The first of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Vernon says he doesn't think Fernwood is completely committed yet to the GGG. Sirens approach as the arsenal Texas has set on fire burns. Vernon tells the police that Tom was drunk and started the fire, and Tom is arrested. At Merle's house in hysterics, Mary learns that her husband is being charged with murder. Mac wakes up in pain from his foot, and Martha and Cathy try to help him. George comes home and tells them about Tom. Mary and Merle visit Tom in jail and learn of Dewey's death. Commercials deleted.
