HAPPY DAYS OUTTAKES (TV)
Summary
This is a collection of outtakes from "Happy Days," a comedy series about life in the 1950s. The program begins with Henry Winkler and Scott Baio in a scene at the Cunninghams, which is abruptly ended when Winkler blows his line and utters an expletive. The pair then follow up with several more takes, all of which end badly. The collection of clips which follows includes: Marion Ross having trouble recalling a line; Erin Moran being vociferously smooched on set; cast members making funny faces at the camera; Baio preparing for a scene in which Chachi imitates "The Godfather"; actor Phil Silvers cheering on daughter Cathy's performance as Jenny Piccalo; actors cutting up on the set with extended kisses, as between Ross and Tom Bosley; Cindy Williams and Penny Marshall spoofing their salary negotiation talks; Anson Williams flubbing his scene with Tom Bosley; Ted McGinley trying to jump rope without tripping himself; a bearded Winkler dropping the F-bomb; Ron Howard and Ross in a skit about Howard's "self-importance" after leaving the show; the cast singing "Jingle Bells"; Al Molinaro and Williams trying to perfect a singing routine; conflicting instructions from Jerry Paris messing up a scene at Arnold's; makeout scenes that got out of hand, including a "threesome" between Baio, Moran, and Winkler; a 1982 "gag reel" that includes a sendup of the opening theme montage; Ross cussing when a scene goes wrong, followed by Moran committing the same faux pas; Phil Silvers making a speech, then kissing Winkler on the mouth; Garry Marshall dressed as Groucho Marx and telling Paris to "sit on it"; cast members bemoaning that their parts aren't bigger; McGinley stepping in for Richie Jr. in a scene with Winkler; and Elliott Gould and producer Tony Marshall giving withering summations of the show.
