OZ: A COCK AND BALLS STORY {FOURTH SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The fourth season premiere in this series of dramas set in the Oswald Maximum Security Penitentiary, nicknamed "Oz." In this episode, Glynn lifts the lock down he imposed for the last two weeks, on the condition that no more race-related violence occurs. Khan is taken off life support and warns Cyril in a dream that he and Gloria's husband will haunt him forever. These nightmares worry Ryan, who tries to enroll Cyril in Sister Pete's interaction program, but Gloria wants no part of it. After one of the inmates in solitary gnaws himself to death, Glynn institutes a short period of daily recreation time in order to give the inmates of that ward something to look forward to each day. "El Cid" decides that this is the perfect time to revenge the murder of his cousin Ricardo by having Bevilaqua kill Alvarez, but the plan backfires when Giles steals the murder weapon, kills Bevilaqua, and stabs Alvarez. Mukada suggests that Beecher come up with a plan to mend the rift between him and Schillinger in order to keep the peace, a plan that Keller adamantly opposes. Beecher asks his father to find Schillinger's remaining son Hank, a request that leads to a blowup between Beecher and Keller, landing Keller in the hole. Bellinger returns to death row after a suspicious miscarriage, and Governor Devlin's campaign manager suggests that Glynn may want to run for lieutenant governor in the upcoming election. Sister Pete reports to McManus that Diane fell in love while on vacation and got married, news that causes him extreme distress, especially since he was planning to propose to her on her return. Three new prisoners enter Em City. Desmond Mobay is actually an undercover narcotics agent; he begins buying drugs from Wangler to establish credibility. Ralph Galino, convicted of manslaughter when the housing project he constructed collapsed and caused multiple deaths, gives his cell phone to Nikolai, who uses it to make illegal deals on the outside. Guillaume Tarrant, a small-time felon out of his element in Oz, is repeatedly harassed by Wangler, Poet, and Pierce. He is driven to the breaking point. Finding a gun planted by Adebisi for mysterious purposes, he goes on a shooting rampage.
