MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW, THE: THE HAPPY HOMEMAKER TAKES LOU HOME (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Mary Richards, a single career woman working in a television newsroom. In this episode, Mary learns from a friend in the State Department that Prince Charles of Great Britain will be a guest on the station's "Talk of the Town" program, and she begins work on a list of questions for Ted to use in the interview. Meanwhile, Sue Ann steps up her romantic pursuit of Lou. When he will not agree to a date, she employs unorthodox means to enlist Mary's aid, and Mary convinces the gruff newsman to accept a dinner invitation from the Happy Homemaker. The prince's visit is canceled at the last minute, and Murray offers the local "King of the Gypsies" as a substitute, causing Ted much confusion. Later that evening, Lou tries to find a tactful -- and strong -- way to rebuff Sue Ann's advances. Commercials deleted.
