
KINDERGARTEN : HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? (TV)
Summary
One in this documentary series about a kindergarten class at Upper Nyack Elementary School in Nyack, New York. In this episode, the class plants a vegetable garden. Each child makes a marker for a specific plant, and they plant seeds in a garden bed outside. The class delights in caring for the garden and watching the vegetables as they mature. Then Miss Johnson gives some bad news: some of the vegetables were eaten by a wild animal. The class investigates the damage, guessing what kind of animal it might have been. They replant the damaged crop. When harvest time comes, the children pick the vegetables and eat their salad at a picnic.
