QUEER AS FOLK {U.S. VERSION}: HOME IS WHERE THE ASS IS {SECOND SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The second season premiere in this series about the day-to-day lives of a circle of gay and lesbian friends living in Pittsburgh.
In this episode, Michael visits from Portland. He surprises Ted and Emmett and finds Brian more distant than ever. However, Debbie is overjoyed to see her son back in town. Meanwhile, Brian has been making secret visits to see Justin in the hospital.
Melanie and Lindsay enjoy a meal at the Liberty Diner, and they discuss the trial against Justin's attacker with Debbie and Michael. At Lindsay's sister's wedding, Ted and Emmett pose as dates for Melanie and Lindsay -- whose relationship is not accepted by Lindsay's family. Later, Justin is released from the hospital, and a group of reporters is camped outside his house. At the bar, Michael confronts Brian about his drug and alcohol use. Suddenly the two notice Justin across the room; he has snuck away from his house to find Brian.
At the wedding, Lindsay toasts her sister. But fed up with her family's attitude toward her personal life, she uses the toast as an opportunity to announce the truth about her relationship with Melanie. At Brian's apartment, Justin and Brian discuss the attack. The next morning, Michael tells Emmett and Ted the truth about his marriage, and his reasons for returning to Pittsburgh. At the sentencing of Justin's attacker, the judge's ruling disappoints those in attendance. Finally, Justin's mother asks Brian to stay away from her son.
