Summary
One in this drama series about the professional and personal lives of the uniformed cops of rural Mount Thomas (Australia). In this episode, Jo is happy to discover that her parents will be visiting her on their thirtieth wedding anniversary, and she plans a special dinner for them. A teenager named Sam Baxter keeps getting herself into trouble, and Sam's mother Adele is at wit's end. Jo sympathizes with the troubled youth and sets her up doing volunteer yard work for an elderly woman named Olive Hemmings. Later, the police find Olive unconscious in her home with a serious head injury. After Olive identifies Sam as the perpetrator, Adele kicks Sam out. Sam's father Rick rejects Sam's plea to stay with him, and Jo is stupefied to see Olive forgive Sam and invite her to stay at her place. Meanwhile, Jo's parents arrive, and reveal the true reason behind their visit -- they have decided to separate. Jo is both angry and depressed to hear this news, and she confronts her parents about their decision. After Rick's trailer and Olive's house are burglarized again, the police think to investigate Dave Moore, Sam's older boyfriend. They finally discover what they were looking for.
