CHARLOTTE CHURCH: LIVE FROM JERUSALEM (TV)

Summary

A live concert from the Tower of David in Jerusalem, featuring opera ingenue Charlotte Church. Church is joined by the Ra'Anana Symphonette Orchestra conducted by Julian Smith, as well as the Chamber Cantus Choir. Church welcomes everyone and gives a brief history of the Tower of David before performing "Jerusalem," "La Pastorella," "The Last Rose of Summer," "O Mio Babbino Caro," and "The Lord's Prayer." Next, the Cantus Choir backs her in a performance of "Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer." She then performs "Ave Maria," "Plaisir d'Amour," and "Pie Jesu" (in a duet with Marina Blumen). Church finishes with an encore performance of "The Holy City."
