CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: MEL'S OFFER {FOURTH SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The fourth season premiere in this comedy series in which producer/comedian Larry David plays a slightly exaggerated version of himself who often ends up embroiled in misunderstandings and social faux pas. In this episode, Cheryl tells Larry that their tenth anniversary is approaching and that she'd like them to renew their vows. Larry agrees -- as long as Cheryl remembers her offer from a decade ago to let Larry have a one-night stand. Larry then attends a karaoke party at which Mel Brooks is a guest. Larry's singing inspires Mel to make him an offer to replace the lead in his Broadway musical, "The Producers." Checking out the show, Larry meets his future co-star, Ben Stiller, and sets the stage for calamities to come via his reactions to an errant sneeze, a bloodied forehead and a bit of drool.
