CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: OPENING NIGHT {FOURTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
The fourth season finale in this comedy series in which producer/comedian Larry David plays a slightly exaggerated version of himself who often ends up embroiled in misunderstandings and social faux pas. In this episode, Cheryl runs lines with Larry as his Broadway debut in "The Producers" looms. Also imminent is Larry's deadline for a one-night stand before his tenth anniversary -- a "gift" sanctioned by Cheryl. Flying to New York with co-stars David Schwimmer and Cady Huffman, Larry encounters a bit of tension and sexual tension, respectively. Once in the Big Apple, more stumbling blocks pop up for Larry -- a lost watch, a stolen purse, complimentary "Producers" ticket requests, threats of bad karma, the art of tipping hotel employees, and a Republican cheerleader. They all lead to an opening night that even Max Bialystock couldn't have foreseen.
