WIRE, THE: TIME AFTER TIME {THIRD SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic series about the police and the criminals they target. This is the first episode of the series' third season, which focuses on the nexus between Baltimore's election-year politics and the Barksdale drug enterprise.
The notorious Franklin Terrace housing projects are imploded, and the Barksdale drug crew is forced to find a new home. As Bell sets up shop with a new dealing strategy, McNulty, Greggs, and the detail work a wire tap on his newfound ally Stewart, and his associate Wagstaff, who gets a promotion within the organization. Meanwhile, Burrell gets put on notice by Mayor Clarence Royce -- in the midst of a re-election campaign -- that crime statistics must come down. Also, upon being finally released from jail, Dennis "Cutty" Wise, tries to follow Avon's orders but finds that the drug life on the outside has changed appreciably during his 14 years of incarceration.
