PRISON BREAK: PILOT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The pilot in this action/adventure drama about Michael Scofield, a man attempting to combat the Machiavellian plan fostered in the penal system by a covert government agency.
In this episode, structural engineer Scofield robs a bank, intentionally hoping to get sent to Fox River where his brother Lincoln Burrows awaits execution for murdering the Vice President's brother. At Fox River, new "fish" Scofield meets several other inmates, all of whom he plans to unwittingly enlist in the escape: his "cellie" Sucre; Abruzzi, former Chicago mob boss and the most "connected" prisoner at Fox River; and Charles Westmoreland, believed to be D.B. Cooper. Also introduced is prison doctor Sara Tancredi as well as Scofield's longtime friend and lawyer Veronica Donovan.
Almost immediately, Scofield begins implementing the escape plan. Meanwhile, the curious Warden Henry Pope calls Scofield to his office to ask for a favor, but also to question him about why such an educated man would find himself in prison. Ultimately, Scofield reveals an important secret to the warden -- his engineering firm was the company that designed Fox River. Commercials deleted.
