NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, THE: MY BIG FAT SOBER WEDDING (TV)
Summary
One in this sitcom about a divorced mother, Christine Campbell, trying to juggle the needs of her job, young son, and ex-husband. In this episode, Christine, Richard, and Barb attend a wedding for an old college friend, Ben, bringing along "new" Christine. Amazingly, Christine agrees to be the group's designated driver. The old college friends are excited to see Ben, until they meet Ben's wife, Claire, who is antagonistic toward the three, especially Christine. Back home, Matthew and "Little" Richard enjoy Christine's wedding gift which she forgot to bring along. Christine struggles to stay sober at first but eventually is glad because she is able to calmly speak with Claire about her past relationship with Ben. Meanwhile, Richard and "new" Christine discuss their diametrically opposed thoughts on weddings. Then, during Ben's toast, he accidentally says he loves Christine instead of Claire. Later, a crying Claire runs into Christine in the bathroom, claiming she ruined the wedding. Soon, Christine has assuaged Claire's fears and the two are laughing in the bathroom. That is, until Christine makes one final faux pas: admitting she once slept with Ben. Commercials deleted.
