TWENTIETH CENTURY, THE: TRIAL AT NUREMBERG (TV)

Summary

One in this documentary series hosted by Walter Cronkite, which examines outstanding events and personalities of the twentieth century. This program looks at the 1945-46 trials of Nazi leaders held in Nuremberg, Germany. Film clips show documents used as evidence, the defendants, including Hermann Goerring, Rudolph Hess, Joachim Von Ribbentrop, Albert Speer, Alfred Rosenberg, and Ernst Kaltenbrunner pleading not guilty, and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson questioning a defendant. Also included is footage of Nazi atrocities, questioning of Goerring, verdicts, and sentencing. Commercials deleted.
